SQlab ergonomics experts are not only quite impressive in just ergonomics, but also very well versed in high-tech, material science and carbon manufacturing.
Ergonomics: With an aggressive sitting position and a handlebar width from 740mm and under 9° backsweep, the wrists are always overstretched. SQlab currently has the monopoly for aggressive MTB handlebars.
Damping: The 311 FL-X has been developed with regard to flex behavior. In an elaborate study, we were able to prove that almost all high-quality handlebars have damping characteristics between 0% and 15%, depending on the intensity. The 311 FL-X is between 20% and 30%. The higher flex has no disadvantages in steering precision. The steering forces are clearly below the vertical forces.
Stability: SQlab is one of only two manufacturers to remain in the big bike magazine break test without damage.
- Weight: At 200g, the handlebar is one of the lightest and most stable on the market.
- Area of use: MTB Race
- The 12° backsweep with its short reach provides a natural transition from the lower arm to the hand when in a more upright riding position thus protecting the wrist from the extreme strain
- The 15mm or 30mm Rise (handlebar height) allows an individual adjustment of the sitting position.
- This bar utilizes a 31.8mm clamping area. If you have a 35mm stem, please refer to our shim kit.
$319.99
The perfect combination of form, wall thickness and diameter, with the corresponding anatomically-optimized bend for various riding dynamics, make the SQlab 3OX handlebar series the most stable as well as the lightest bar in its field. SQlab's handlebars feature an ergonomic design that ensures the wrist is not overstretched, the carpal tunnel is not constricted and the supply to the hands is improved. The risk of sleepy and numb fingers is minimized and discomfort in index and middle fingers is reduced. The 16° backsweep, with its short reach, provides a natural transition from the lower arm to the hand when in a more stretched riding position and the 4° upsweep brings the elbows into a perfect position for a dynamic riding style.
